Position: Android Cyber CNO/OCO Developer (open level)
Position type: Full Time
Salary: Commensurate with experience (entry level, mid level, senior, SME)
Location: Office in Falls Church, VA; work is 100% remote for the time being. Post-COVID 19, there is potential for 50-75% remote.
ByteStratum is a small, tight-knit company that specializes in cyber tools and capabilities, with a primary focus on Android. Since its founding in 2016, we have successfully bid and performed on multiple contracts and are currently seeking to add another full-time engineer to our team. Required Experience and Skills:
We’re looking for someone who has demonstrated experience and in-depth knowledge in these areas:
- Professional software development and/or CNO/OCO development
- Android and/or Linux development
- Post-exploitation tool development
- ARM 32/64-bit and/or x86/x64 architecture
- C, C++, Java, assembly, and/or Rust programming
- OS fundamentals and internals
Preferred Experience and Skills:
Our ideal candidate has additional experience and/or familiarity with the following:
- Reverse engineering x86, ARM 32-bit, and ARM 64-bit binaries
- Vulnerability research and exploit development
- Designing and implementing custom network communication protocols
- SELinux internals and implementations within Android
- Using the Gradle build system
- Python development
- Developing native applications with the Android NDK
- Android applications and internals
- Android rooting and hooking technologies
- Linkers and loaders
- ELF, DEX, ODEX, VDEX file formats
- Debugging with GDB and Android Studio
- Using Git
